Uniqlo Co., Ltd. is a Japanese casual wear designer, manufacturer and retailer. Uniqlo has gained such huge success that it currently has over 1,400 stores in 16 markets worldwide. Before they opened their first store in Chicago in spring 2015, I, together with four other students at UIUC, worked on account planning for this brand to carry its success from the Asian markets to the United States. Over the period of three months, we conducted the following market research, brand analysis and investigation to figure out a way this brand could thrive in the U.S. market.
